Here’s where they stand right now:īaseball (9-7 overall, 3-5 MAC Freedom) – Believe it or not, there are still 13 conference games left for them and they already got their three-game series with six-time defending champion Misericordia out of the way (won one of three games with them).

It’s mostly MAC Freedom play from this point forward for our spring sports that involve conference standings and qualifying for playoffs. * We are in the process of a redesign for the athletics website so keep an eye out for that as well in the coming months. * Most of the all-conference teams will be announced next week so can keep an eye out for that That will be determined by the end of the week. Their seeding is undetermined as is the fourth and final team. We know that Manhattanville is the top seed and both King’s and Wilkes are in. It is the third time that the championship will take place on the DelVal campus and we are excited to serve in that capacity. * The school is serving as the official host of the MAC Freedom Softball Championship next Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6. For the women, Misericordia is right up near the top. For the men, those are the two teams atop the standings. Both still have an outside shot at the conference tournament but they need to win and probably get some help and it’s not an easy week either as both have games against Misericordia and Eastern.

Then, there’s the lacrosse teams and the regular season finishes this Saturday. Men’s and women’s track and field does not have their conference championship until the first weekend in May. Softball finishes out this Saturday while baseball, because of the extension of the season due to the weather and the three-game conference series, will go to next weekend and then see if they have qualified for the conference playoffs. For three teams (men’s tennis, women’s tennis, women’s golf) it actually is as they wrapped up their campaigns this past weekend. Hard to believe but the spring season is almost complete. That will continue but it will just be on the main athletic page and not in the blog as well. One thing that will not change is the annual summer Year in Reviews where we look back at the previous year through different categories (games of the year, top surprises, etc).

One of those will be to move away from the blog and focus more on other areas plus social media. We are in the middle of a redesign and making a number of changes to the site. This is actually the final blog for the DelVal website. Who stood out the week before? What lies ahead for the teams? What do the playoff scenarios look like? All of that and more each Tuesday on the DelVal Weekly Blog. Updated each Tuesday by Associate Athletic Director/Sports Information Director Matt Levy, the DelVal Weekly Blog features information and tidbits on the Delaware Valley University Aggies.
